Remember because we make all our instruments from scratch we can customise any of our instruments to your requirements.
Coronavirus Update We continue to work pretty much as normal during lockdown and are again welcoming clients to drop off repairs and collect new builds subject to the governments social distancing rules. Please make an appointment before you visit and see our “House Rules” below so that when you visit we can all stay safe !
Customer visits during the Covid19 pandemic. We are happy to see customers at our Newton Abbot premises for new instrument handovers or for drop off/pickup of instruments for repair but we ask that this is done in as near a “non contact” way as possible. We all need to keep safe and socially distanced for ALL our health and welfare. Sarah and myself have elderly relatives in the family bubble and we both volunteer for a local charity that works with vulnerable and shielded individuals so we wish to keep any risk of infection from Covid to an absolute minimum. The following are the house rules that we would ask all visitors to adhere to in order that we can all feel safe whilst we try and carry on as normal as possible. All visits are by appointment only. We are happy to see clients with family or friends but note that space is limited and the more people the great the risk of virus transmission. We live in a country that has a quickly changing climate but if possible please bear this in mind when arranging visits and try to plan for dry weather so we can work outside. If you feel unwell and suspect you might have any of the Covid symptoms we ask that you cancel your appointment and book again for a future date. We may refuse to see anyone who appears to be unwell or appears to have any of the Covid19 symptoms We will prefer to do any handover of instruments either in the driveway or the garden terrace observing the 2metre rule and taking appropriate measures when handling instruments. If the weather isn’t kind and we would need to take cover than we will do so in the converted garage room however as this is a small space and the 2metre rule would be difficult to observe then we would have to take other precautions by ALL wearing face masks. We cannot supply face masks and would ask that all customer come prepared with appropriate PPE in case that is required. I am afraid that we cannot allow any visitors to use the house toilets but there are public toilets approx. 200m away and we will happily give directions to them if needed. We would normally offer basic hospitality to visitors from further afield but at this time that seems an added complication and would ask that you bring your own refreshments if required. Subject to any local lockdown changes from the 4th July there are pubs and cafes open in the town centre which is just a few minutes walk away. For the immediate future we will not be accepting any payments by cheque or cash and would ask that where monies are due and expected at the point that we deliver an instrument or service that you had completed that by electronic bank transfer before your visit. We can supply WiFi connection details if needed so that any unexpected electronic bank transactions can be completed during your visit. Whilst we have usually welcomed visitors into the workshop to discuss repair work or new build options this isn’t possible under the current guidelines. Where Nick can offer to do repairs or setups while you wait the client would have to wait at the top of the garden. Thank you for your understanding and be assured that we take the health of our clients and visitors as well as that of our own family members as a top priority.
